EXCLUSIVE: Shah Rukh Khan's Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa co-star Tikku Talsania shares work experience with SRK; 'most wonderful actor'

As a longtime admirer of Bollywood, I must confess that Tikku Talsania is one of my all-time favorite actors! His journey in the film industry spanning over four decades is nothing short of inspiring. From his humble beginnings to sharing the screen with the legendary Shah Rukh Khan and receiving critical acclaim for his roles, Talsania’s life experience is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and talent.

Tikku Talsania is a highly admired figure in the world of films, having started his acting journey with “Pyaar Ke Do Pal,” directed by Rajeev Mehra, back in 1986. Since then, he has been part of numerous productions, including “Andaz Apna Apna,” “Bol Radha Bol,” “Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa,” “Devdas,” “Duplicate,” and others. In a recent conversation on The TopMob Podcast, this seasoned actor reminisced about his professional collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan and praised him as a truly gifted performer.

In the latest installment of The TopMob Podcast Season 2, Tikku Talsania was questioned about Shah Rukh Khan’s personality. Impressively, Talsania commended the star by stating, “I’ve encountered no other actor as captivating and collaborative as him.”

Reflecting on a specific instance, the actor known for Devdas mentioned, “Interestingly, Shikha encountered him at a friend’s wedding and she shared, ‘Dad, he spoke solely about you for five to ten minutes. I said that was simply remarkable.’ They are all genuinely nice individuals. To clarify, I have never kept track of the films I’ve been part of.”

Regarding the 70-year-old actor, it’s worth mentioning that he wasn’t just confined to film and TV work; he also took on freelance theater roles. His screen presence significantly enhances movie plots. From 1991 to 1996, he showcased his comic talents in films like Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Umar 55 Ki Dil Bachpan Ka, Bol Radha Bol, Andaz Apna Apna, and Mr. Bechara. However, he also stepped out of his comfort zone by portraying a serious character in Waqt Hamara Hai in 1993, which earned him accolades.

In addition to Talsania appearing in several films that were financially successful, including “Ishq” from 1997, “Jodi No.1” from 2001, and “Partner” up until 2007, he gained critical recognition for his performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Devdas.” In this movie, Talsania portrayed the character of Dharamdas, Devdas’s caretaker. He expressed faith that his role would garner attention as it was performed.

On the work front, SRK shared with Star Sports in May that he plans to return to film sets in 2024, after taking a brief respite. With three movie releases last year and continuous work since then, he feels it’s time for a break. In the near future, you can look forward to seeing King Khan alongside his daughter Suhana Khan in the upcoming film titled “King”.
