The pair recently collaborated on an ad campaign, earning praise. Now, Darsheel is discussing his bond with Aamir Khan and acknowledging that Darsheel has grown up significantly since then. In a conversation with ETimes, when asked about the possibility of a follow-up to Taare Zameen Par, Darsheel Safary shared some news, indicating that it will be an outstanding movie, as promised by Aamir Khan. “It will be an outstanding movie that is Aamir sir’s promise,” he stated.
When speaking about his relationship with Aamir Khan, the actor mentioned that Aamir Khan is gradually accepting how quickly he’s grown up. There was a particular instance on the set of an advertisement film where he requested a black coffee. Aamir Khan, who was engrossed in conversation at the time, looked surprised and asked, “What?”
Darsheel admitted he was puzzled at first and inquired if Aamir Khan had made a mistake. Aamir reassured him by saying no, then turned to the director, commenting that he’d matured. Darsheel noted this incident signifies their relationship’s transformation through the years, from observing Aamir drink chocolate milk on Taare Zameen Par sets to witnessing him order black coffee 16 years later.
He added that there is an unspoken bond and chemistry with Aamir Khan on camera that he hasn’t experienced with anyone else. He said that working with Aamir brings a certain ease, allowing him to switch off his mind and follow his lead. He also admitted feeling greedy at times, wanting to work more with Aamir. Nonetheless, he enjoyed reconnecting with him during their recent shoot, as always.
In the movie “Taare Zameen Par,” Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary made their first on-screen appearance together. Aamir took on the role of a guide to Darsheel’s character, who was a young student struggling with dyslexia. At that time, Darsheel was only ten years old. Recently, Aamir ran into Tisca Chopra, who played Darsheel’s mother in the film, at his daughter Ira’s wedding.
