As a seasoned gamer of the entertainment industry, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by the news of Quinta Brunson‘s latest venture into filmmaking! Known for her Emmy-winning comedy gem, Abbott Elementary, she’s now teeing off with Par for the Course for Universal Pictures.
The award-winning actress Quinta Brunson from Abbott Elementary is venturing into films by creating a new comedy titled Par for the Course, to be released by Universal Pictures.
Brunson will collaborate on the script, act in, and oversee production of a movie titled “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” starring Stephanie Hsu. In partnership with Seth Rogen’s production company Point Grey Pictures (under their agreement with Universal), Brunson will produce this film under her Fifth Chance label.
Justin Tan, a writer for Abbott Elementary, collaborated with Brunson in writing the screenplay. Tan will also direct the film for the first time in this project. Alex McAtee is set to produce this venture under Point Grey. Erik Baiers and Jacqueline Garell will supervise the production on behalf of Universal Pictures.
Plot details for the comedy will be kept under wraps.
“Brunson expresses her enthusiasm about collaborating with Point Grey and Universal on the comedy project titled ‘Par for the Course‘. It’s a show close to her heart, and she can think of no better partners than these top-notch producers,” said Brunson, managed by CAA, Strig Artist Management, and Del Shaw. In the upcoming season, viewers will see her in the fourth installment of her ABC sitcom ‘Abbott Elementary‘.”
Actress Hsu, represented by CAA, recently starred in the Universal film “The Fall Guy” at cinemas. In the near future, she is scheduled to feature in the Nahnatchka Khan-created Peacock series titled “Laid”. Additionally, she will lend her voice to a character in the upcoming Universal animation “The Wild Robot”.
Tan is repped by CAA, Strig Artist Management, and Authentic.
