At a 2022 trailer launch event for the movie “Darlings”, actress Alia Bhatt spoke about how Shah Rukh Khan mimicked the language used in the film and sent her an adorable message. Alia explained, “More recently, he watched the film and messaged me, using the unique lingo from ‘Darlings’, saying, ‘Thanks you Darlings for making this movie.'”

At the gathering, Alia shared insights about the process leading up to making the film. She revealed that the script for the movie was presented to her by director Jasmeet K Reen and producer Gaurav Verma back in 2019. As she listened to the story, it took an unexpected turn, catching her off guard.

Reflecting on Shah Rukh’s words, I shared, “Later, Shah Rukh reached out to me, saying, ‘I don’t typically co-produce projects, but I am eager to join you in this endeavor and we are going to have a fantastic time.’ It promises to be an excellent experience and one that we will cherish for years to come.”
