Merrell Teams up With Janji for Trail Running Capsule Collaboration

As a seasoned trail runner with years of pounding the pavement and conquering rugged terrains under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about the Janji x Merrell collaboration. The thought of combining two brands that I hold dear to my heart, one for its commitment to performance-driven footwear and the other for its dedication to giving back, is truly inspiring.

U.S. brand Janji, known for its high-performance sportswear, has collaborated with Merrell on a limited collection. This collaboration showcases their shared commitment to top-tier athletic gear. Highlighted in this collection is the unique Agility Peak 5 sneaker, designed specifically for running trails, along with clothing and accessories suited for trail running, all featuring an exclusive print by Mongolian artist, Gawaa.

The standout piece in this assortment is a vibrant adaptation of Merrell’s popular Agility Peak 5 trail running shoe, designed specifically for extended runs. This shoe boasts FLEXconnect® and FloatProTM Foam midsoles, offering flexibility and enduring underfoot comfort. Priced at $250 USD, it comes with Vibram’s Megagrip traction lug outsole for a robust grip on varying terrains, along with a breathable upper for ventilation.

In terms of clothing, the selection includes the Zephyrunner Wind Shell jacket which is extremely lightweight and compact, along with quick-drying tank tops and t-shirts, plus ultra-light running shorts designed for performance. The assortment is completed by the AFO Hyperlight Cap and the Multipass Mini Pack, a technical bag featuring three zipper pockets and a 1-liter capacity.

The prices for this collection vary between $38 and $150 USD. You can buy it directly from REI, Janji’s, or Merrell’s website. Two percent of each sale will be contributed towards the Global Water Partnership.
