Bitget launches Blockchain4Her awards program

As a seasoned analyst with over two decades of experience in various industries, I have witnessed the significant impact women can have when given equal opportunities and representation. The Blockchain4Her Awards by Bitget is an inspiring initiative that not only celebrates the achievements of women in the blockchain industry but also fosters dialogue about gender equality.

Bitget, a prominent crypto exchange and Web3 firm, is thrilled to unveil its first-ever Blockchain4Her Awards. These accolades honor women who are pioneers in blockchain technology and champion gender equality within the industry. Nominations can be submitted until August 30th, with winners being announced at the SheFi Summit in Singapore on September 17th, 2024.

The Blockchain4Her Awards serve to celebrate women’s accomplishments within the blockchain sector and encourage discussions on gender equality in this industry. This initiative is a part of Bitget’s larger Blockchain4Her program, which was introduced earlier this year with a $10 million pledge aimed at boosting diversity and inclusivity in the blockchain world. A recent study by Bitget revealed that female-led blockchain startups received just 6% of the total funding, highlighting the importance of such initiatives. The awards provide an opportunity for participants to “Gleam with Greatness as a Woman” by showcasing their Web3 achievements. Winners can expect scholarships, an all-expenses-paid trip to Singapore for the award ceremony and related blockchain events, media exposure, interview opportunities, and mentorship to enhance their careers within the blockchain domain.

The awards feature two categories:

  • Recognizing Emerging Women Pioneers in Blockchain: Honors budding females excited to delve into Web3, highlighting their prospects, initial accomplishments, and impact on company expansion. The top three recipients will secure scholarships for SheFi’s 8-week MBA-like blockchain course online, as well as chances for public speaking engagements and interviews, plus mentorship within the Blockchain4Her community.

  • Innovative Web3 Female Entrepreneur Award: Honors women founders driving Web3 advancements with transformative impacts. The winner will win a trip to Singapore for the SheFi Summit, dedicated media interviews, priority into ForesightX Accelerator and an invitation to mentor future leaders in Blockchain4Her community.

The Blockchain4Her Awards feature an illustrious group of judges, including key figures from the industry and ambassadors for Blockchain4Her. This panel includes Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, who is well-known in the crypto world and has received recognition as a Women Delegate by the UN and a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Other judges on the panel include Yevheniia Broshevan, Co-founder and CBDO of Hacken; Cecilia Hsueh, Co-founder and CEO of Morph; Tess Hau, Founder of Tess Ventures; and Maggie Love, Founder of SheFi.

Gracy Chen, founder of Blockchain4Her, highlights that the Blockchain4Her Awards serve a dual purpose: they not only recognize outstanding achievements but also provide a stage for women to demonstrate their significant contributions in Web3. The blockchain sector is brimming with promise, and it’s essential that women are heard loud and clear and given equal chances to shape its growth. We invite all qualified women to submit their applications and exhibit their impactful projects.

To submit nominations, Bitget encourages all to visit their Blockchain4Her Awards page.
