As a dedicated follower and admirer of the illustrious Kapoor family, I can say that every picture shared by Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is like a precious gem for us fans. The recent throwback photo she posted of her late father, Rishi Kapoor, walking hand-in-hand with his granddaughter Samara, brings back memories of the charm and warmth that the legendary actor exuded.
For four years now, the passing of beloved actor Rishi Kapoor continues to leave a void among his devoted fans. Rishi, who departed this world, is deeply mourned by his wife, the actress Neetu Kapoor, their son Ranbir Kapoor (also an actor), and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni (a jewelry designer). Lately, Riddhima evoked nostalgia by sharing memories of her parents, Rishi and Neetu, spending time with Samara Sahni, her daughter. She fondly recalled moments when Samara admired him dearly.
Recently, on August 19th, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni posted an old family photo on Instagram. In her Instagram story, a sweet image of Rishi Kapoor walking with his granddaughter Samara was shared. The beloved actor can be seen holding Samara’s hand while she looks up at him affectionately.
The photo also features Neetu Kapoor who is walking behind them. Rishi wore a grey tee and brown pants. Samara looked cute in a white dress and she held a red paper bag in her hand.
Neetu opted for a white and black outfit and is looking in another direction.

In a previous interview on Anushka Arora’s YouTube channel, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni revealed the ways her family coped with the tragic deaths of both Rishi Kapoor (in 2020) and Rajiv Kapoor (in 2021).
Riddhima indicated that the Kapoors have grown significantly close following their substantial losses. She explained that the family members are showing greater care for one another currently. In essence, they’ve become closer and more united, she further noted. Despite not meeting frequently, the Kapoor family keeps in touch through Facetime calls, as Riddhima mentioned earlier.
Riddhima had a strong connection with her deceased father, Rishi Kapoor. In the year 2018, he was identified as having leukaemia and subsequently traveled to New York for medical attention. He returned to India in the year 2019, but in April 2020, he was hospitalized due to trouble breathing.
