Torerowa, Asobimo's roguelike dungeon crawler, is out now in open beta for Android

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from pixelated classics to state-of-the-art virtual reality experiences. But when it comes to Torerowa, the open beta roguelike RPG from Asobimo Inc, I have to say it’s a breath of fresh air in this saturated gaming market.

Torerowa, the multiplayer roguelike RPG from Asobimo Inc, is now available in open beta on Google Play. In this game, you and up to three other players are pitted against the inhabitants of a vast dungeon. Your challenge isn’t just battling monsters and navigating traps, but also competing with other adventurers who are all trying to escape with the treasures they’ve discovered.

In brief 10-minute matches, you assume the role of a treasure hunter among up to 15 other explorers, delving into unpredictably appearing dungeons known as Restos. You have the freedom to tailor not only the appearance but also the weapons and gear your character carries, enhancing your odds of staying alive in this exciting adventure.

“In my observation, Torerowa resembles the concept of ‘Dark and Darker’ translated into an anime style. Although it shares a similar design philosophy, its aesthetic and gameplay are more reminiscent of Diablo than Escape from Tarkov. For those who appreciate challenges and enjoy competing against other ambitious explorers, this could be an appealing choice.”

Roguelike with an actual roguelike setting

Although I generally avoid using the term “unique,” I must concede that Torerowa exhibits an unusual character. It seems as though someone combined the themes of Dark and Darker, disassembled them, and then reconstructed them with typical anime-style settings and characters. This isn’t inherently negative.

As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement about the ongoing open beta of Torerowa! You still have until August 30th to explore this captivating game on Google Play. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to dive into an immersive gaming experience that’s just waiting for you!
