As a seasoned movie enthusiast with a keen eye for spotting trends and a knack for predicting box office successes, I must say that the news about Stree 3 has me absolutely giddy with anticipation. Having witnessed the meteoric rise of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy franchise, I can confidently assert that this third installment promises to be a blockbuster like no other.

Across the nation, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror comedy sequel, Stree 2, is captivating audiences with its success at the box office. Released on August 15, 2024, this film has been unstoppable with impressive ticket sales. Notably, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, key characters in the movie, have recently shared exciting news about Stree 3 – they confirmed that parts of its script are already complete!

In a chat with The Indian Express, actor Abhishek Banerjee (playing Jana in the Maddock supernatural world) talked about Stree 3. He mentioned that while it may take some time, it won’t be as prolonged as the production of Stree 2. Given the recent success of the film, Abhishek assured us that Stree 3 won’t require a six-year wait for its release.

The actor remarked, “Certain sections of the script have been penned down. It’s going to be a grand, sweeping tale, and I can hardly wait to return to that film set.”

Aparshakti Khurana, who plays Bittu in the cosmos, revealed that the script for Stree 3 was drafted quite some time back. He stated that they are merely awaiting director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan to share further details regarding the upcoming installment.

At the unveiling of Stree 2’s trailer, Dinesh Vijan revealed some exciting news: we can expect a third installment in the series! He likened Stree 2 to a mother ship, suggesting that it will provide answers to the questions left unanswered in the first film and clarify many connections. Moreover, he mentioned that the script for Stree 3 is already complete, meaning we won’t have to wait long for another spooky adventure!

Regarding Stree 2, the storyline picks up where it left off in the first movie, but now we find ourselves in the town of Chanderi as the new antagonist, Sarkata, wreaks havoc. The local girls are the ones being threatened this time around. Rajkummar Rao’s character Vicky and his group must rally together once more to protect their home, with Shraddha Kapoor’s enigmatic presence adding an extra layer of intrigue. The appearances of Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia in the film have been particularly well-received by the audience.
