M. Night Shyamalan's Trap Will Be Available for Digital Rental Soon

As a long-time fan of suspenseful thrillers, I must say that M. Night Shyamalan’s latest offering, “Trap,” has certainly piqued my interest. Having grown up with his early works such as “The Sixth Sense” and “Unbreakable,” it’s fascinating to see how he continues to weave intricate narratives that keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller titled “Trap” premiered in cinemas at the beginning of August. However, by the end of the same month, it will be accessible for viewing at home. Despite some grumbling, this swift home release is a common approach to distribution these days. The Josh Hartnett-starring film will be available for digital rental and purchase on Amazon Prime Video on August 29th. For those who prefer to own physical copies of the newest releases, they’ll have to wait until November 5th to add it to their collection, with options including 4K UHD, Blu-ray, or DVD.

In this movie titled Trap, we follow Cooper Adams, a firefighter from Philadelphia and a devoted father to his daughter Riley. However, Adams harbors a dark secret – he’s a serial killer. Their journey leads them to a pop concert. But, as they arrive at the venue, it becomes evident that there is an unusually high number of police officers present. This sets off alarm bells in Adams’ mind and after talking to a vendor, his suspicions are validated: the event has been orchestrated as a trap intended for him.

When Adams isn’t preoccupied with monitoring his latest victim on his phone, he’s searching for a means of escape. However, this will not be easy, and it’s just as likely that his daughter discovers his real identity as “the Butcher” as it is for him to be caught by the police. Can he manage to evade capture?

It’s refreshing to observe Daniel Hartnett returning to star in a theatrical production, and he truly shines in this role. After a hiatus from major films following the underappreciated “30 Days of Night,” Hartnett shifted to television with the acclaimed series “Penny Dreadful.” However, his recent roles in the Guy Ritchie movies “Wrath of Man” and “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre” (alongside his standout performance in the Best Picture-winning “Oppenheimer”), suggest that he’s back on track. And viewers are delighted to see him back on screen once more.

Although the film received a mix of opinions from critics, Harnett’s dedicated portrayal was highly acclaimed, as per the general consensus on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, Ariel Donogue’s role as Harnett’s on-screen daughter significantly contributed to the success of Shyamalan’s latest creation. The movie, titled “Trap,” is an engaging experience that viewers will soon be able to enjoy from the comfort of their homes.

You can conveniently watch the movie at your own place through digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango At Home, and many others.
