Kareena Kapoor Khan says ‘no intentions to hurt religious sentiments’ as her book Pregnancy Bible gets legal notice from Madhya Pradesh HC

As an ardent fan of Kareena Kapoor Khan, I find myself in awe of her resilience and grace as she navigates yet another challenge in her illustrious career. The controversy surrounding her book “Pregnancy Bible” is a testament to the power of words and the sensitivities they can evoke.

Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan found herself in a debate concerning the title of her book titled “Pregnancy Bible”. In response to a legal notice received in May from the Madhya Pradesh High Court, the actress has explained that she never intended to offend or disrespect any religious beliefs with the choice of book’s title.

The notice was given following a legal request submitted by attorney Christopher Anthony, aiming to prohibit the sale of Kareena’s book. In response, through lawyers Divya Krishna Billaiya and Nikhil Bhatt, the actress asserted that she did not intend to offend any religious sensitivities. This statement was made to address the concerns about her book’s distribution, where she also referred to “The Pregnancy Bible” as her ‘third child’.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m excited to share that I’ve learned about an upcoming hearing presided over by Justice GS Ahluwalia, which is set to take place on September 10th. This significant discussion has been scheduled by the Honorable Madhya Pradesh High Court in relation to this matter, as reported by Free Press Journal.

In a previous statement, activist Anthony from Jabalpur expressed that the term ‘Bible’ is perceived as offensive within the Christian community. He clarified, “The Bible represents the sacred text for Christianity; therefore, it is inappropriate to draw parallels between Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy and the Bible.”

Previously, the court declined his appeal because he couldn’t provide evidence that the term “bible” was offensive in Kareena’s book. He then took his case to the Additional Sessions Court, but again, his plea was denied there as well. Eventually, a notice was finally served on Kareena, along with the sellers and publishers, who were also served with legal notices.

2021 saw me, an ardent admirer, watching anxiously as another Christian group expressed reservations about the title of Kareena’s book. This led to a police complaint being lodged in Beed, Maharashtra, against her and two others, allegedly for causing religious offense. As I pen this, the legal battle remains unresolved in court.

In terms of her personal life, Kareena has been married to actor Saif Ali Khan since the year 2012. Together, they have two sons: Taimur Ali Khan, born in 2016, and their second child, Jehangir (also known as Jeh), who joined them in 2021.

In terms of her career, she’s preparing for the upcoming releases of “The Buckingham Murders” and “Singham Again” this year.
