Afterpay’s Arthur Ashe Tennis Apparel Collab Ignites U.S. Open Fever

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for fashion and sports, I can’t help but be thrilled by this Arthur Ashe x Afterpay capsule collection! Growing up watching the U.S. Open, I’ve always admired the elegance and power that tennis players like Arthur Ashe embodied both on and off the court.

1) The U.S. Open is in full swing, with top players worldwide battling it out at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, marking the last Grand Slam tournament of the year. Joining the excitement is Afterpay, who’ve teamed up for a special capsule collection honoring trailblazers who have significantly impacted tennis. In the midst of the tennis frenzy sweeping through Flushing Meadows, New York, Afterpay collaborated with Arthur Ashe to create a custom capsule celebrating the namesake tennis icon. The lineup includes a hoodie, T-shirt, headwear, and accessories like a water bottle and practice tennis balls for dedicated tennis enthusiasts.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to be part of the dynamic team behind the Arthur Ashe lifestyle brand. Led by the visionary duo, Jeanne Moutoussamy (photographer and graphic artist), Jack Carlson (creative director and founder of Rowing Blazers), and Karl-Raphael Blanchard (art director), we’re dedicated to preserving Arthur Ashe’s legacy for future generations.

Key features of the Arthur Ashe x Afterpay line include a collaborative hoodie, where the front showcases the iconic Arthur Ashe emblem, and the back displays unique chenille patches honoring Ashe’s victorious Grand Slam Titles in 1968, 1970, and 1975. This motif is also seen on the collection’s T-shirt, with blue text on both the front and back. Afterpay’s distinctive Bondi Mint hue can be found on the internal tags of each clothing piece. The line is completed with everyday necessities such as a vintage snapback hat, a single-colored tote bag, and practical items for sports enthusiasts like a reusable water bottle and tennis balls for those playing on the court.

Participating in the city’s festivities for the U.S. Open, Afterpay is preparing an interactive event at 41 Division St., taking place on September 4 and September 5. This event is open to all, offering a rare chance for visitors to see the Arthur Ashe x Afterpay collection up close. The Afterpay Dropshop is the sole retailer of the Arthur Ashe x Afterpay capsule, available via the Afterpay app and HBX website, allowing sports enthusiasts to start shopping the commemorative line from September 6 onwards.

Keep an eye out on TopMob for the unveiling of their new collection, along with the activation by Afterpay, scheduled for September 4th at 41 Division Street in New York City. Don’t miss it!
