As a long-time observer of the dynamic Bollywood scene, I can confidently say that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s love story is one for the ages. Their journey from co-stars to life partners, all while working on the epic trilogy Brahmastra, is nothing short of magical.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d like to reminisce a heartwarming tale featuring the charming duo, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who are undeniably one of Bollywood’s most beloved couples. Their connection, both professionally and personally, is not just confined to the silver screen but extends beyond it, creating a beautiful bond that resonates with fans worldwide.
In the run-up to the release of Ayan Mukerji’s film, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, Ranbir Kapoor amusedly narrated an anecdote about his initial encounter with Alia Bhatt to Nagarjuna. He vividly remembered the date and explained how their friendship blossomed. Kapoor stated, “We first met on New Year’s Eve in 2017. We were both heading to Israel for Brahmastra rehearsals, and we ended up sitting next to each other on the plane. It was then that we began conversing more deeply and building our friendship.”
At that point in time, Ranbir mentioned they were both unattached, which made their relationship progress smoothly. It felt as if they had gotten engaged and envisioned future generations during the plane’s takeoff. “We were single at the moment, so it was quite natural. That day, I believe, we got married in our minds. We had already thought about grandchildren,” concluded Ranbir.
In a jovial manner, the actor suggested that just as the plane was soaring into the sky, so too did their creative thoughts, flying away together.
For those not in the know, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt began dating while filming for Dharma Productions’ superhero trilogy titled “Brahmastra Part One.” In this production, Nagarjuna had a minor role as a cameo. The couple got married in an intimate wedding ceremony in April 2022, about five months before the release of “Brahmastra.” Later, they welcomed their baby girl, Raha, in November 2022.
In terms of their professional commitments, Ranbir Kapoor is currently engaged in filming Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological masterpiece Ramayan, while Alia Bhatt is busy with YRF’s debut spy movie, Alpha. The two will come together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which Ranbir is set to start shooting an epic love triangle with Vicky Kaushal in October. Alia, on the other hand, is expected to join the sets of this project by December 2024.
