The highly-anticipated moment when Bollywood power duo Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expected to become parents for the first time in September is eagerly awaited by many across the country. More recently, mehendi artist Veena Nagda shared her prediction about the gender of their upcoming baby during an interview with TopMob’s Hindi Rush channel.
She shared that at Ram Charan’s wedding, she had the chance to meet Ranveer Singh and we exchanged a warm embrace. We ran into each other again during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, experiencing similar feelings. In jest, Singh mentioned he too wanted some Mehendi (henna) and gave another hug. She also extended congratulations to him, saying “A son is on the way”.
During the very same discussion, Veena disclosed that she had been the one to apply Mehendi on Deepika Padukone while they were filming Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. It was also at this point in time when Deepika pledged to Nagda that she would reach out to the artist for her own wedding, a promise she eventually kept true.
In 2018, Veena was reserved for five days in a discreet manner for DeepVeer’s wedding. However, she only ended up working for a single day. Deepika and Ranveer’s romance ignited in 2013 while they were working together on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. Their intense on-screen connection developed into real feelings, which grew stronger as they worked together on Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018).
After a six-year courtship, the pair officially got married at Lake Como, Italy on November 14, 2018, with their dearest loved ones present. Earlier in the year, they made public their happy news of expecting a child, with the baby due in September.
In the professional sphere, the romantic duo is set to appear together on-screen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film, Singham Again. This high-octane action movie is aiming for a release this Diwali season.
