On this special occasion, co-producers Raj & DK shared intriguing facts about the movie on Instagram, reminiscing back to the filming locations in Chanderi. On Saturday, Raj and DK posted some nostalgic backstage photos on Instagram from the set of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s movie Stree. The filmmakers also recounted fascinating stories about the 2018 film. From the cast and team residing in guesthouses and schools in Chanderi, to how they completed the script in just three weeks, this post is a delight for its fans.
In their recent post, Raj & DK wrote about a detailed message where they reminisced on how swiftly they completed the script for this film within just three weeks, making it their quickest production yet. They gathered with the cast and team at a coffee shop in Andheri. As mentioned in the note, an enjoyable, friendly shoot took place in one of the smallest towns, Chanderi. We stayed in guesthouses and schools while shooting throughout the town.
The pictures feature the coffee shop being torn down by a crane, a lane of Chanderi having ‘O Stree Kal Aana’ written on its wall, Shraddha and Rajkummar shooting for a scene, and happily posing with the makers together. The series also features the team having their meal together including Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee.
In a heartfelt closing note, the filmmaking team expressed gratitude to all those who supported them financially and showed unwavering faith in their creative endeavors. The post was titled, “6 Years of ‘Stree’ – A Journey through Memories.”

Under the guidance of director Amar Kaushik, the movie titled “Stree” was jointly produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & DK. This film initiates the Maddock Supernatural Universe, which additionally encompasses the titles Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.
On August 15, 2024, the creators launched Stree 2, the follow-up to the 2018 film. In addition to the original cast, this new production also includes Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia in brief roles.
