However, there’s something more that Deepika has for Ranveer Singh – when it comes to her thoughts about him, food takes precedence! During an award show appearance, Deepika revealed that ‘food’ is the first thing that comes to mind before her husband.
During the interview on the program, host Kartik Aaryan inquired Deepika Padukone about the strangest speculation concerning her that had ever circulated. In response, she clarified that it wasn’t a rumor but a common belief that as a celebrity, she eats less, which is untrue. She went on to say that she enjoys food immensely and even stated, “I actually think about food more than Ranveer does.”
As a lifestyle connoisseur, when asked about my favorite dish, our enchanting South-Indian star proudly declared his love for Rasam Rice, which left me exclaiming from the audience, “Indeed, I prepare this delightful dish myself!” This simple statement sparked an outpouring of admiration across the web, and I wholeheartedly concur.
It’s intriguing to note that even Deepika and Ranveer’s initial encounter was linked to food. In fact, during their well-known interview on Koffee with Karan, they disclosed that they, along with the director of their first joint project, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, initially met at his residence.
Runveer, when discussing Deepika Padukone’s entrance, remarked, “As these massive doors swung open, the sea breeze swept in, and there she stood, radiant in a simple white chikankari ensemble. She seemed to embody pure elegance. Her hair flowed with the wind as she gracefully entered, leaving me breathless and exclaiming ‘Oh My God’.”
In the array of ‘unusual dishes’ Bhansali served them, crab was one of them, leaving a small remnant on Deepika’s teeth. When Ranveer discretely indicated this, his future spouse casually replied, “Oh, really? Clean it.” This moment, as Ranveer described, felt like sticking his “hand into an electric socket” and experiencing a “440-volt shock” on that day.
The duo got married in 2018 and are expecting their first child in September this year.
