Stree 2: Aparshakti Khurana on credit war between Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao; 'aise kaise ho sakta hai bhai ki ek insaan ne...'

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the nuances of showbiz, I must say that Aparshakti Khurana is a shining beacon of humility and camaraderie in an industry often plagued by ego and competition. His recent interview with Indian Express, where he addressed the ongoing debate about credits in Stree 2, was nothing short of refreshing.

Aparshakti Khurana is currently basking in the success of his latest release Stree 2, which co-stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. Lately, there has been a flurry of conversation and disagreement regarding credits between Kapoor and Rao. In an interview, Khurana spoke about these ongoing issues, stating, “How can it be that one person made the film and another did the acting?” (In other words: “How is it possible for one person to make a movie and another to act in it?”)

In a recent interview with Indian Express, Khurana reacted to the debate about whether Stree 2 belonged to Shraddha Kapoor or Rajkummar Rao. In response, Aparshakti remarked, “aise kaise ho sakta bhai ki ek insaan ne film bana di aur ek insaan ne kar di acting”.

He explained that the film is a collective effort involving the producer, director, writer, and all the actors, and ultimately, it belongs to the audience. He emphasized that everyone involved, including the creators, audiences, and media, played an equal role in maintaining the film’s momentum from its announcement to its release.

Aparshakti also felt a sense of satisfaction seeing everyone associated with the movie being acknowledged and applauded, especially since this happens less frequently to writers. He pointed out that while it’s typical for producers and writers to be disregarded, this particular film has made certain that all participants are appreciated for their contributions. He stressed that no one felt left out, and he takes pleasure in knowing that the movie rightfully belongs to everyone who contributed to it.

The actor gave special recognition to director Amar Kaushik, whom he called the “helmsman,” and writer Niren Bhatt. He pointed out that each of them had already tasted success with their individual ventures – Rajkummar Rao with Mahi, the actor himself with Jubilee, Abhishek with Apurva, Shraddha with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, and Pankaj Tripathi with OMG 2 and Fukrey. Remarkably, they all managed to rejoin Stree and add even more brilliance to it.

1) He commended the devotion and hard work of everyone participating, especially noting Amar Kaushik’s skill in reimagining and extending the universe of Stree for this edition. (Shorter and maintains the same meaning)

Apart from expressing his enthusiasm over the film’s triumph, he pointed out that it’s uncommon for a production to be embraced so wholeheartedly by viewers, with repeated screenings being a testament to this affection. He added that both the acting and the plot have been well-received, labeling Stree 2 as an extraordinary phenomenon.

Recognizing the overwhelming affection from fans and reviewers, he underlined the fact that their dedication had finally borne fruit. He also shared that making Stree 2 was an enchanting journey, and the current success places a greater obligation on them for the upcoming sequel.
