Shah Rukh Khan’s Veer Zaara to Pardes: THESE films will bring back nostalgia to theaters this September

As a long-time devotee of Bollywood and its captivating narratives, I must say that the recent announcements regarding the re-release of some iconic films have sent my heart aflutter! The anticipation is palpable, and it’s reminiscent of the excitement we all felt during our youthful days when these very movies first graced the silver screen.

For a while now, movie theaters have been struggling to stay afloat, causing quite a scare in the entertainment industry. In response, they initiated a strategy of re-releasing popular films like Rockstar to lure audiences back to cinemas. Fortunately, this approach worked well. Subsequently, numerous new releases such as Maine Pyaar Kiya, Dangal, Raja Babu, Love Aaj Kal, Partner, Hum Aapke Hain Koun… and others followed suit.

Currently, a new report from Bollywood Hungama has been released, revealing an enticing lineup of films set for re-release in September. Notably, Shah Rukh Khan’s classic movies Pardes (1997) and Veer-Zaara (2004) are scheduled to be re-released, eagerly awaited by fans. According to the source at Bollywood Hungama, Veer-Zaara is set for release on September 13 with limited screenings each day. The number of screenings may increase depending on demand.

It was also disclosed that Pardes may debut on either the 20th or 27th of September, with an official announcement confirming its release date. Starring Mahima Chaudhry and Apurva Agnihotri, Pardes – a highly praised musical tale directed by Subhash Ghai – is set to be re-released. Additionally, Subhash Ghai’s film Taal (1999) will also resurface on the 20th of September.

1. Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played crucial parts in this production. The news also hinted that viewers might get to see Madhuri Dixit dance to her popular number Ek Do Teen once more. Our source at BH mentioned that Zee Studios is contemplating a re-release of the film Tezaab during the latter part of the coming month.

The film Tumbbad, initially set to re-release on August 30, has now been rescheduled for September 13. This date change coincides with Ganpati festivities to attract a larger audience. Economically, this decision is advantageous as movies like Laila Majnu have surpassed the earnings of Tumbbad’s initial run.

In addition to R Madhavan and Dia Mirza’s Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur parts 1 and 2 are also doing well in cinemas. For those looking for new releases, Stree 2, Vedaa, and Khel Khel Mein can be enjoyed at theaters nearby.
