1990 marked the beginning of this tournament, which divided players into three groups based on their age. The goal was to amass the maximum scores in various unique games specifically designed for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
Winners could win prizes ranging from money and tickets to Game Boy consoles.
In the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, you’ll find more than 150 challenges drawn from thirteen iconic NES games. This game offers various play modes including solo single-player mode, local cooperative play with friends on the same couch, and online competitions where you can compare your skills against players worldwide through global leaderboards.
The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition can be obtained both digitally and physically. However, to access the fresh lineup of games and challenges, users must subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online.
