As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours mastering virtual tennis matches, I must say that this ASICS event at TopMob’s 41 Division was nothing short of a dream come true! The transformation of the space into “ASICS and ACES” was truly a haven for any tennis enthusiast.
During New York’s grandest tennis weeks, ASICS combined culture and fashion at TopMob’s 41 Division, creating an atmosphere tailored for tennis enthusiasts. This transformation was none other than the brand’s own ASICS and ACES sanctuary, showcasing their 17-piece collection.
The event was adorned with designs from the ASICS Tennis New York Collection, emphasizing the motif “Healthy Mind, Healthy Body,” which reflects the company’s long-standing philosophy that physical activity promotes wellbeing for both mind and body.
At the gathering, there were special drinks named “The ASICS Ace” among other custom cocktails, and in addition, tennis court and racket-shaped sugar cookies were served. The guests were also entertained by a live caricature drawing station where artists sketched amusing portraits of attendees. To top it all off, the beats provided by DJ Kazi created an engaging atmosphere for fans on the dance floor.
To add an unexpected twist, ASICS unveiled some prominent athletes in the world of tennis to honor the sport’s unique atmosphere. Olympic gold medalist Novak Djokovic dropped by for a question-and-answer session, discussing his experiences following the Olympics and expressing his preferences regarding the ideal tennis shoe, ultimately endorsing his own Court FF 3 Novak model.
“Djokovic emphasized on the significance of feeling at ease in your tennis ACS shoes, as they offer the agility you need for speed and direction changes, along with the features you’re seeking. The unique GEL technology is celebrated for its impact-softening cushioning system that supports twists and turns, while ensuring softness, stability, and durability. Djokovic further stated, “These shoes are ideal for tennis and they’re the best I’ve ever worn.”
Beyond just the athletic performance, the ASICS’ MATCH ACTIBREEZEâ„¢ Tops stood out during the event as well. College tennis player Kemal Karagozoglu donned the ASICS Men’s MATCH ACTIBREEZE SHORT SLEEves Top in Mako Blue from the line. This collection includes polo-shirts, sleeveless tanks, and short-sleeves. The design features moisture-wicking mesh to ensure athletes stay dry and comfortable during intense activity. These tops can be paired with the Women’s MATCH SKORT or the Men’s MATCH 7IN SHORT for a sweat-resistant outfit suitable both on and off the court.
At the recent event, Taylor Fritz, a newly added ASICS athlete, was present, joining the group that also included Caroline Dolehide, Eva Lys, Jasmine Paolini, Borna Coric, Ons Jabeur, Corentin Moutet, and Harriet Dart. Attendees had opportunities to interact with their favorite athletes, sharing memorable moments and snaps, while some participants left the gathering with signed tennis balls.
I’m heading over at ASICS.com for the latest gear from ASICS, specifically their New York Collection. Don’t forget to check out and keep an eye on their social media handle, @asicstennis, for insights into how their athletes embody “Sound Mind, Sound Body.”
