- It gives us a better look at the occasional new feature, and the fresh art style
- Check out what we thought of this new teaser!
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for strategy and simulation games, I’ve seen my fair share of border control simulators, but Black Border II has caught my eye like no other. The original game was a decent diversion, but its clip-art aesthetic felt soulless and uninspired. However, the teaser trailer for Black Border II has given me hope.
The initial sneak peek for Black Border II, the forthcoming sequel to the original border control simulator, has been released. It offers glimpses of potential new features, further showcasing its captivating new visual aesthetic, among other things. Let’s analyze and see what we can discern!
Initially, I want to highlight that the art style used is quite impactful, blending elements from various historical dictatorships in a rough, stylized manner. This design brings games like Papers, Please to mind and aligns well with the theme without being overly bleak or depressing.
In terms of its features, it looks like Black Border 2 will offer base construction capabilities. This allows you to upgrade your safehouse with additional structures. Some of these structures may serve the purpose of manufacturing new gear or possibly goods for selling, providing an extra source of income.
Crossing over
It’s refreshing to notice that Black Border II has switched up its style, making it more captivating. As I mentioned initially, the original Black Border carried an unusual clip-art vibe with lifeless characters seeming to gaze at you intensely. However, the grittier, somber figures in this sequel appear to be imbued with life, merely by contrast.
As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that this year, Black Border II will be available for both iOS and Android devices! The iOS version is slated for release in October, while the Android version follows in September. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
