The teaser for the film is being unveiled, as Friday marks the global premiere of Horn’s directorial debut at the Toronto Film Festival. At one point in the trailer, Horn, portraying Ziggy – a young Mohawk woman from the Kanienkehaka tribe – states, “War has been declared, and you may wonder what our people did to our adversaries during wartime?” As she wields a rifle on her reservation and ancestral lands, she is seen protecting her aunt’s precious seed cache from a threatening character named Bondsman.

In doing so, she finds her inner strength and determination to keep them safe. The action-packed drama with humor elements is Kaniehtiio Horn’s debut directorial project following her rise as the Deer Lady on FX’s Reservation Dogs and Tanis on Hulu’s Letterkenny.
In the trailer, Dallas Goldtooth, a cast member from the show “Reservation Dogs,” portrays Ziggy’s cousin.
