Ananya Panday calls working with Vikramaditya Motwane in CTRL a 'dream'; ‘I actually did not believe…’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for emerging talent and a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling, I must say that Ananya Panday’s journey is truly inspiring. Her recent collaboration with Vikramaditya Motwane on CTRL seems like a perfect fusion of youthful energy and seasoned expertise.

Currently, Ananya Panday is basking in the success of her series titled “Call Me Bae.” Following this, she will make an appearance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming project called “CTRL.” Lately, the actress expressed that it was a dream come true to work with the director and shared her disbelief when he offered her the film role.

In a recent chat with PTI, Ananya Panday expressed her delight about working on Vikramaditya Motwane’s CTRL. She mentioned that Udaan is a cherished movie she and her mother enjoy watching together, so being cast in the film was a dream come true for her. For quite some time, she couldn’t believe that he genuinely wanted her as part of his production. When she asked if he would only be present and not directing, he confirmed that he was, indeed, the director.

Beyond this, the actress described the film’s subject as a unique journey for all involved. She tantalized her fans by hinting that they would uncover more details when promotional materials began to surface. The actress also expressed admiration for the director, calling him exceptional and “one of those who lives in the present”.

As a devoted admirer, I must confess that after some time apart, I’ve come to truly appreciate the immense wisdom and knowledge I’ve gleaned from this filmmaker. To put it simply, he’s extraordinary.

In a modern and gripping style, the drama series titled CTRL features Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat as the main characters. Back in August of this year, a sneak peek video was shared by the creators to unveil the show. This preview introduced us to Ananya playing Nella Awasthi and Vihaan as Joe Mascarenhas – an adored online couple producing content together. But it’s the storyline following their split that audiences are eagerly waiting to discover.

The goal of this project is to explore the dilemma posed by the reality that data equals power – how much personal information should be shared publicly, and what could happen if you lose control over it during the sharing process?

The movie is being produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon under the labels Saffron Films and Andolan Films. Avinash Sampath and Vikramaditya Motwane are credited as its screenwriters, while Sumukhi Suresh has penned the dialogues. It’s set to debut on October 4 on Netflix.
