Salman Khan and Gippy Grewal's first interaction was hilarious, recalls Punjabi actor; here's how Diljit Dosanjh saved him from Bollywood star's anger

As an ardent fan of both Gippy Grewal and Salman Khan, I can’t help but be utterly captivated by the charming camaraderie between these two stars from different corners of the entertainment world. The humorous incident where Gippy gushed about Salman’s physique is a heartwarming testament to their friendship and the shared bond they have developed over the years.

Recounting a past encounter with megastar Salman Khan, Punjabi performer Gippy Grewal playfully recollected an amusing incident where he exclaimed, “Paji dole shole” (roughly translating to ‘brother, bulging muscles’) upon witnessing Khan’s physique. Gippy added that his colleague Diljit Dosanjh had cautioned him against making such a comment, fearing Khan might react negatively.

During an interview with Mashable India, Gippy shared a picture of himself alongside Salman Khan from the set of the song Character Dheela. He confessed that he wasn’t very fluent in Hindi at the time and was quite nervous about interacting with the star. When he tried to say, “Paji badey dole shole banaye,” (Elder brother, you make a big noise), Khan looked puzzled and replied, “Huh?” Eventually, Diljit advised Gippy not to make such statements, as it might anger him, suggesting instead, “Don’t do that, you’ll make him angry.

In terms of his career, Salman Khan is now working on the film titled “Sikandar,” which is being directed by AR Murugadoss. This movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj along with him. As per a report from TopMob, despite sustaining a rib injury, Khan has returned to shoot for Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming production. The team has constructed an extensive set that depicts both Dharavi and Matunga, at an estimated cost of around Rs 15 crore.

The ongoing filming period will continue for 45 days before we shift to a palace in Hyderabad for the next part. The character portrayed by Khan is haughty and carries the air of royal blood, symbolizing the spirit of ‘Sikandar.’ This rebellious demeanor, somewhat similar to a side plot in Sultan, has been appreciated by audiences.

Initially, Salman took part in a heated fight scene on a private jet, opposite the villain’s son, played by Sathyaraj. Reports say that he’s teaming up with the action directors from Mission Impossible. In the following shooting schedule, there are plans to film three thrilling action sequences, one of which involves an airborne stunt. The movie, titled “Sikandar,” is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and is set to hit theaters on Eid in 2025.
