For months, she’s been diligently preparing for this event, scheduled on September 15 in Berlin. But just before the race, a mishap occurred – she misplaced her entire Ironman equipment. Taking to social media to express her disappointment, she called out the airline for their careless handling of her belongings. Later, it was the veteran actress herself who criticized the airline for such negligence.

9th of September, Saiyami Kher expressed her frustration on a platform once known as Twitter, stating that despite losing a bag containing essential equipment for a race, Icelandair has yet to offer assistance. In simpler terms, Saiyami tweeted, “I’m incredibly annoyed with @Icelandair. My Ironman gear-filled bag is missing. Not a single bit of help from the airport or website. This equipment is vital—I’ve been preparing in it for months. If it doesn’t show up soon, I’ll have to buy everything again. Such a headache before my race.

Today, veteran Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi showed her support on social media. Sharing a screengrab of Kher’s tweet, the Bun Tikki actress penned on Instagram, “How horrifying is this freak case. We know how hard you have been training for the last 6 months for the #Ironman Race in Berlin. Sending you tons of positive energy. This endurance test needn’t have started right from the travel. I am sure your misplaced luggage will teach you in 24 hrs. Lots of (love).”

Azmi also took to X to appeal to netizens to help Saiyami at such a crucial time.

Actress Sharmajee Ki Beti expressed gratitude after receiving affectionate messages from Azmi. In response, she re-shared her post and acknowledged his kindness. Meanwhile, Kher reported that unfortunately, the airline has not been of assistance and they continue to search for a lost bag.
