Radhikka Madan recalls getting fever before auditioning for Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2: ‘I gave the worst...’

As a dedicated follower and admirer of Radhikka Madan‘s journey, I find her resilience and determination truly inspiring. Her story is a testament to the fact that even the most disastrous auditions can lead to unexpected success.

Radhikka Madan is one of the notable actors who shifted from the Indian television world to the film industry. Lately, she was seen alongside Akshay Kumar in the movie “Sardara” directed by Sudha Kongara. The young actress shared a story about a significant audition that went awry, which turned out to be her most challenging life moment.

During an interview with Filmfare, Radhikka Madan disclosed that she tried out for Karan Johar’s film Student of The Year 2. However, her nerves got the best of her, turning what should have been a strong performance into her “least successful audition.” This experience also took a toll on her wellbeing.

The actress from Angrezi Medium shared, “I had an extremely significant audition… It was for Student of the Year 2. I built myself up so much. I was studying so intensely, but it wasn’t even a two-page script. I knew it by heart, even in my dreams. I built myself up to such an extent that I fell ill before the audition. I had a fever, a cold, and I delivered one of the worst auditions I’ve ever given. I was so nervous.

As a committed follower of my passion, I made a personal decision to break free from a state of indefinite waiting, choosing instead to live life with purpose. Only two weeks after trying out for a role in a Tiger Shroff film, I found myself auditioning for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha, approaching it with an unconventional mindset and humor. To my delight, I was fortunate enough to secure the part.

She stated, “When I learned it was a film by Vishal Bhardwaj, I thought he wouldn’t invite me, so I decided to go and make the most of it, regardless. I would savor those two minutes, ensuring no one could take that experience away from me.

Following the successful completion of the initial round, Radhikka was invited back for another chance. With no preconceived notions, she returned and impressed once more. Summarizing her feelings, she expressed, “I hadn’t set any expectations. It was just ‘give me three more minutes.’… And then they said, ‘You are chosen,’ to which I replied, ‘Me?’

For those unfamiliar, Radhikka Madan first appeared in Bollywood cinema through Vishal Bhardwaj’s film “Pataakha,” and subsequently earned a significant role alongside Irrfan Khan in the movie “Angrezi Medium.

Originally hailing from television, Radhikka subsequently charmed audiences with her acting in Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video, Kuttey, Shiddat, Saas, Babu aur Flamingo, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, and Sarfira. This talented actress is now eagerly anticipating the release of her long-postponed film, Sanaa, as well as other upcoming ventures.
