As a seasoned gamer of sneakers and life, I’ve seen my fair share of collaborations that come and go, but the upcoming UNAFFECTED x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 collaboration is one that truly piques my interest. Having been enamored with the cord lacing system on the previous GEL-KAYANO 14 collaboration, I eagerly await the opportunity to add these new iterations to my collection.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited about the upcoming release of the UNAFFECTED x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20! These bad boys will be available in vibrant colorways such as Red, Cream, and Black. The price is yet to be confirmed (MSRP: TBC). Mark your calendars for Fall 2025, that’s when you can get your hands on these beauties. You can grab a pair from UNAFFECTED, ASICS, or HBX stores. Can’t wait!

Towards the end of 2023, South Korean brand UNAFFECTED teamed up with ASICS and released the GEL-KAYANO 14 in three distinct color schemes, each sporting a unique cord lacing system. Moving forward, as UNAFFECTED unveils pieces from its Fall/Winter 2024 collection called “HEXAGONAL,” this collaborative duo is once again introducing a joint footwear project.

For this upcoming season, the duo has turned their attention towards the recently launched GEL-KAYANO 20 model, which has been prominently involved in several partnerships throughout the year, including with KENZO, Bodega, and Doublet. The UNAFFECTED edition of this sneaker is available in three color schemes: red, cream, and black. This version also revives the lace-up cord system that was previously used on the GEL-KAYANO 14. In addition to traditional ASICS branding, UNAFFECTED logos appear on the lateral heel and left shoe’s sockliner. A unique mudguard is employed as an overlay in this design, enhancing the sneaker’s multi-layered construction.

Currently, neither UNAFFECTED nor ASICS have announced a release date for their upcoming collaboration on the GEL-KAYANO 20 sneakers. Keep an eye out for updates, including exclusive images of the shoes, as Le.Syndrome hints that the collaboration is planned to launch around early November. The shoes will be available at UNAFFECTED, ASICS, and select retailers like HBX.
