As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant worlds of video games like GTA and Red Dead Redemption, I must say that the anticipation for Joker: Folie à Deux feels eerily similar to counting down the days until the next big expansion pack drops. The final trailer, with Lady Gaga‘s powerful rendition of “That’s Life,” has only fueled my excitement for this cinematic adventure.
Among all the superhero flicks flooding our screens, some truly shine as standalone masterpiecs, untethered from any cinematic universe. The upcoming DC film, “Joker: Folie à Deux“, falls squarely into this exceptional category, and I can hardly contain my excitement for what promises to be a blockbuster sensation. Recently, Lady Gaga unveiled the movie’s final trailer, and her haunting rendition of “That’s Life” is nothing short of captivating.
What we know about Joker: Folie à Deux is limited, but that’ll change when it hits theaters in October. And while Joaquin Phoenix encouraged Gaga to sing poorly, that’s simply not the case in the final Joker 2 trailer. Mother Monster shared th enw clip on her Instagram, check it out below:

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment of the Joker saga! From what I’ve gathered, the storyline appears to continue right where the first movie (which is available for streaming with a Max subscription) ended. This time around, it seems Arthur Fleck will have a criminal partner, and together they’re planning to stir up even more trouble in Gotham City – chaos just got a new level!
Though Lady Gaga insists that Joker 2 won’t be a musical per se, it appears that numerous musical segments are likely to feature throughout the film. Also, despite her efforts to alter her vocal style for the character of Lee, there seems to be moments where she’ll belt out tunes similar to the Mother Monster we know, such as her rendition of “That’s Life” in the movie.
The promotional materials for “Joker: Folie à Deux” have confirmed yet another song, which is the latest addition. Previews of “For Once In My Life” and “What the World Needs Now Is Love” have been heard, suggesting that Warner Bros. didn’t hold back when it came to obtaining rights for popular songs from the American Songbook. I’m excited to discover what other tunes will be included when Todd Phillips’ sequel premieres in cinemas.
More to come…
