Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding Horror Rom-Com ‘Heart Eyes’ Lands February Release

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both horror and romantic comedies, I can hardly contain my excitement for Sony’s upcoming release, “Heart Eyes.” With its intriguing blend of genres and a star-studded cast led by Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding, this film promises to be a genre-bending rollercoaster ride that I simply cannot miss.

Sony plans to entice audiences for an early Valentine’s Day outing with the film titled “Heart Eyes“, set to hit theaters on February 7, 2025.

Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding feature in a Spyglass production where the Heart Eyes Killer, who targets couples, is terrorizing Seattle. When this murderer mistakenly identifies a pair of colleagues working late on Valentine’s Day as a romantic duo, they are forced to elude capture and spend their most romantic night of the year evading danger.

Gigi Zumbado, Devon Sawa, and Jordana Brewster are among the cast members in the movie titled “Heart Eyes“. Josh Ruben is the director of this film, with the screenplay being written by Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon, and Michael Kennedy.

Ruben expressed his excitement in June while discussing the project, saying that his affection for horror movies and romantic comedies is equally strong. He’s thrilled beyond belief to create his most challenging blend yet: a gruesome slasher set within a charming romantic-comedy setting.

This production combines elements of horror and humor, resembling successful horror projects by Spyglass like “Scream VI” and “Thanksgiving”. The team behind it will be Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks from Divide/Conquer, with Scott Derrickson (Landon) overseeing production. Gary Barber of Spyglass, Chris Stone, Mel Turner, Phillip Murphy, and Michael Kennedy will serve as executive producers.

As a gaming enthusiast, I find myself captivated by a new release that’s going toe-to-toe with the action-packed film “With Love,” starring Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose from Universal. In my world, it’s not just about pushing buttons; it’s about immersing myself in an equally thrilling experience.
