1997 saw Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan gracefully appear on “Rendezvous With Simi Garewal.” During their chat, the host asked Gauri if Shah Rukh had always been protective towards her. In reply, Gauri shared that it was more about possessiveness initially, which later transformed into protectiveness. She humorously added that he used to be overly possessive and a bit excessive, even going so far as to disapprove of her wearing white shirts because he thought they were see-through. In her words, it was a peculiar quirk of his mind.

SRK, seated beside her, chuckled in agreement and admitted that he had been “extremely crude” earlier. To clarify his actions, the actor shared that his initial unease originated from a sense of “not fully possessing the situation.

He explained that his connection with Gauri was kept private, and in his own words, “I believe that regardless if it’s a man or a woman, they both desire ownership. Thus, one tends to feel the need…to exert control, and I had ended up feeling quite insignificant.

Additionally, when Gauri was inquired about handling the superstar’s clinginess, Gauri disclosed that she had stayed away from him for quite some time. She stated that he needed to learn this lesson, as she had made it clear that she wouldn’t be back if he ever saw her again.

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan tied the knot in 1991, and they have since become the proud parents of three children: Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam. Currently, their eldest son, Aryan, is preparing to launch his directorial career with Stardom, while Suhana made her acting debut last year in Zoya Akhtar’s production titled The Archies.

In terms of his career, Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear next in director Sujoy Ghosh’s movie titled “King.” This will be the first time he shares the screen with his daughter.
