As a lifelong observer of the Bollywood scene, I can confidently say that Shah Rukh Khan stands head and shoulders above his contemporaries, not just for his undeniable charm, but for his unique style and intelligence. Having worked with him early on in my career, I can attest to his wisdom and foresight, traits that set him apart from many others in the industry.

It can be rephrased as: “Is there anyone not enamored by Shah Rukh Khan? For decades, he has been captivating audiences and those who have interacted with him can’t help but shower him with admiration. Recently, Jaaved Jaaferi, who collaborated with SRK in Oh Darling Yeh Hai India (1995), spoke to MensXP and highlighted what distinguishes the superstar from his peers like Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

When asked about the level of fame between stars of his era and today’s stars, Jaaved related a story. At the age of 60, he reminisced about the intense filming of Oh Darling Yeh Hai India where they became very close. Jaaferi went on to say, “He is an exceptionally intelligent man. He is educated, yes, but his intelligence goes beyond that. He is truly wise. He knew exactly where he wanted to be. And he emphasized a point I already knew, but he really drove it home.

Shah Rukh Khan, in a conversation with Jaaved, discussed the path to stardom and emphasized the importance of having a unique style to shine. As Jaaferi remembered, he said, “A distinctive trait is crucial. He’s got it, and that’s why he stands out. People might mock it, but whatever…” Later, the actor from Dhamaal imitated the panache of Shatrughan Sinha, Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra to illustrate how certain characteristics are distinctly associated with specific individuals.

Jaaved imitated Shah Rukh by saying, “He’s the only one in this generation who embodies a distinct style; other actors lack that unique quality.” According to Jaaferi, what set SRK apart was his awareness of his star-age and understanding of his era. He went on to say, “Salman is indeed a massive star, but Aamir is also a star. However, the ‘star content’ I am referring to – that’s Shah Rukh’s style, something he has trademarked.

In terms of work, Jaaved Jaaferi recently appeared in Disney+ Hotstar’s news segment, Taaza Khabar. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his role in the upcoming film directed by Sujoy Ghosh, titled King. This movie features Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Varma in significant roles.
