This past week, over $253 million was invested in the cryptocurrency start-up sector, with a significant portion, approximately, going towards the Celestia Foundation’s blockchain network.

Crypto.news recently looked at social media updates and gathered information from Crypto Fundraising to find out that more than a dozen businesses successfully secured funds within the time frame of September 22nd to September 28th. Here’s a list of those companies:

Celestia Foundation, $100 million

As a dedicated researcher immersed in the realm of space exploration and decentralized technology, I’m thrilled to share that the esteemed organization based in Liechtenstein, renowned for its work on Celestia (TIA), has successfully garnered an impressive $100 million investment. This significant funding round was spearheaded by the prominent venture capital firm, Bain Capital Crypto, with other major crypto-focused firms also contributing to this milestone.

Infinex, $65.29 million

Infinex, a decentralized trading platform, raised $65.29 million using the sale of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). The investment was made by various entities including Framework Ventures, Solana Ventures, Wintermute, Eden Block, Moonrock Capital, and Bankless VC. Each of these groups contributed to this initiative.

Pencils Protocol, $30 million

Initia, $14 million

In a pre-A financing round, Mind Network successfully secured $10 million. Notable investors involved in this endeavor were Animoca Brands, Arkstream Capital, Cogitent VC, MH Ventures, Moonhill Capital, SwissBorg, IBC Group, Master VC, and several others.

Daylight, $6 million

In collaboration, Union Square Ventures and 1kx Network spearheaded a $6 million initial funding round for the cryptocurrency platform, Daylight. This innovative company is renowned for its transaction suggestion Application Programming Interface (API).

Over the last two years, AminoChain, a biobank and Layer 2 network functioning on a decentralized basis, has been relatively low-key. However, it recently attracted attention when a16z crypto led a $5 million seed funding round for this startup, bringing the total investment to $7 million. This is a significant milestone as it marks a16z’s inaugural investment in the field of decentralized science, popularly known as DeSci.

  • Meshmap: The open and decentralized platform received $4 million from a16z, Colosseum, Lattice, Escape Velocity, GSR and other institutions.
  • Meridian: ParaFi Capital, Borderless Capital, Amber Group, Saison Capital, Interop Ventures, and Oak Grove Ventures pooled $4 million for the Hong Kong-based decentralized liquidity marketplace.
  • Helixlabs: The startup nabbed $2 million in a pre-seed funding round from Tribe Capital, EMURGO Ventures, Taureon Capital, LD Capital, and Double Peak Group. Its valuation hovers at around $40 million.
  • EarthFast: Nascent led a $1.4 million pre-seed funding round; The General Partnership also participated alongside Kain Warwick, Roneil Rumburg, Bodhi Ventures
