My Name Is Khan actor Parvin Dabas reveals his elder son thought he passed away after tragic accident; admits wife Preeti Jhangiani stood as ‘solid support’

As a dedicated follower of Parvin Dabas’s career and personal journey, I find his recent ordeal deeply touching. His resilience and gratitude in the face of adversity are truly commendable. The incident has served as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones.

On September 21, Parvin Dabas experienced a sad car accident that led him to be admitted to the ICU. Thankfully, his condition improved and he was released from the hospital on September 25. Since then, the actor has shared that this experience significantly altered his outlook on life. He also disclosed an emotional moment when his older son Jaiveer mistakenly believed he had passed away after receiving a message from a friend.

Parvin disclosed that neither he nor his wife, Preeti Jhangiani, had informed anyone about their accident, instead learning about it from friends. As his older son received a message saying, ‘I’m sorry to hear about your father,’ he initially believed that I had passed away. Later, Preeti informed them about the accident and my condition, helping to alleviate his concerns. This incident has deepened my gratitude for life and my family, as shared with Bombay Times.

The actor from My Name Is Khan disclosed that his wife, Preeti, had been a pillar of strength throughout their challenges, stating, “Preeti has been incredibly supportive. She’s handled the situation admirably.” Currently, Parvin is instructed to take a 10-day break and shared that he’s been taking medication for vertigo and finds it difficult to stand up without feeling dizzy.

During the same interview, Dabas also recounted a shocking event that occurred on Hill Road. This happened as he was commuting home from his office in Khar around 5 am. He mentioned that two individuals discovered him unconscious on the roadside. These kind samaritans helped him to sit down on the sidewalk, and subsequently dialed an ambulance. Consequently, he was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Parvin said that due to high beam lights from the vehicle on the other side of the road, he couldn’t see the divider and crashed into it. He further advocated the need to educate people more about driving with high beams on. “There have been many occasions when while driving with my wife, I have told her that such high beam can lead to accidents. That day, I was returning from work and wasn’t speeding, yet the accident happened,” Dabas signed off.
