As family members of the seasoned performer have been making their way to the hospital, Govinda’s brother Kirti Kumar shared that Govinda underwent surgery and is currently recovering nicely.
Today, October 1st, Kirti Kumar, Govinda’s brother, arrived at Criticare Hospital in Mumbai. Addressing the media outside, he shared that the actor-turned-politician is making a good recovery. He further mentioned, “It appeared to us that he had undergone surgery when we arrived. I believe if his condition improves, he might be discharged from the hospital tonight.
Kumar made it clear that Govinda hurt his toe when he was preparing the gun before leaving. He disclosed that the gun slipped, causing an unintentional shot to be fired. When asked about the discrepancy between his toe and thigh being injured, Kirti stated that the location of the injury is not important. What’s crucial is “he is recovering with divine grace,” he added, expressing his appreciation towards his fans and the media.

He clarified that the actor is presently in the Intensive Care Unit and is doing quite well. Additionally, he stated that the actor has been in possession of a licensed revolver for an extended period.
Significantly, following the event, Shashi Sinha’s manager revealed that the 60-year-old actor was preparing to depart for Kolkata. Unfortunately, his gun slipped from his grasp, causing an unintended discharge of a bullet.
At the time of the incident, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja was in Kolkata. Meanwhile, their daughter Tina, who had been with her grandfather, was spotted leaving the hospital.
