From the moment I heard her first album, SOUR, I was hooked on her raw talent and heartfelt lyrics. And now, with her second album, GUTS, she continues to push boundaries and deliver hits like “bad idea right?” and “all american bitch.
It’s great news for Olivia Rodrigo! The Grammy-winning musician is planning her first concert special on Netflix, which will be part of her GUTS World Tour.
On Wednesday, the streamer revealed plans to unveil Rodrigo’s concert movie towards the end of this month.
As I sit in the electric atmosphere of the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, I’ll be treated to a captivating concert special. This isn’t just any show; it’s Olivia’s tour, showcasing songs from her brand-new album, “GUTS,” and her groundbreaking debut, “SOUR.” Prepare yourself for an adrenaline rush as you witness Olivia in action on her GUTS world tour. You’ll get a front-row seat to her emotional powerhouses about heartache and deception, making this concert experience unforgettable!
Kickstarting in February 2023, the tour of the music composer-performer began in Palm Springs and will extend until March 2025. This extensive tour, consisting of a whopping 95 performances, will traverse various locations in America, Europe, the U.K., Asia, and Australia. Throughout this journey, she has graced prestigious stages such as Madison Square Garden, The O2 in London, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Paris’ Accor Arena, and numerous others.
Rodrigo expressed his enthusiasm about taking part in the GUTS World Tour, saying, ‘I can’t wait to join my supporters on this exciting journey.’ For those who missed the chance to enjoy the live performances, they now have the opportunity to experience it like they’re front row! And for those fans who were there, cheering, shouting, and dancing alongside me, I’m thrilled we get to repeat the fun-filled moments!
The tour is tied to her second album titled “GUTS,” which succeeds her debut album “SOUR” and includes catchy pop-punk songs such as “bad idea right?”, “all american bitch”, and “get him back!”. In contrast, “SOUR” offered slower ballads like “deja vu”, “drivers license”, and “hope ur ok.
James Merryman leads the production of the concert special, a collaboration between Aleen Keshishian and Blink, Inc., Lighthouse Management + Media, and Interscope Films. Alongside Michelle An, Tom Colbourne, and Zack Morgenroth, he also acts as producer. John Janick and Steve Berman serve as executive producers, with Sam Wrench joining as co-executive producer.
