The tragic cause of his death was an unintentional drug overdose, as confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. According to an autopsy report obtained by People Magazine, traces of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine, promethazine, and THC were detected in the rapper’s body following his death. His girlfriend discovered him in their Atlanta apartment, and the report indicated no signs of injury or suspicious circumstances.

According to the report, Mr. Lamar seemed unresponsive, unconscious, and wasn’t breathing, and there was no evidence of any medical condition or underlying illness.

On the day following Lamar’s demise, an autopsy was carried out. However, the coroner’s findings indicated that the specific reason for his death and the way it occurred remained undetermined, awaiting the conclusion of lab tests and a thorough examination of tissue samples under the microscope.
