11 People Walked out of the Terrifier 3 Premiere Due to Its Excessive Gore

As a seasoned movie-goer who’s seen more horror films than I care to remember, I can confidently say that Terrifier 3 is shaping up to be a true masterpiece of the genre. The reports coming out of the UK about viewers vomiting and walking out in droves just add fuel to the fire of anticipation.

The excitement about Daniel Leone’s movie, “Terrifier 3,” has significantly increased following its overseas premiere. Reports from the UK suggest that the film led to as many as 11 walkouts and even caused one viewer to vomit. This horror flick, set during Christmas, features Art the Clown dressed as Santa, ready to instill terror among the residents of Miles County. It’s shaping up to be one of the most gruesome movies ever produced.

According to LAD Bible, nine individuals exited Terrifier 3 within its initial ten minutes due to a pre-mentioned disturbing scene. Before the opening credits, one person was spotted vomiting, and later in the movie, two more people departed – one during the much-discussed shower scene and another during a scene involving children where Art the Clown masqueraded as Santa Claus at a mall. Leone corroborated these accounts on social media, stating that he personally observed some extraordinary events at the UK premiere. In a response, Leone expressed enjoyment of the disorder, saying:

Generally speaking, folks exit a film when it’s terrible. However, if someone leaves during a screening of a Terrifier movie, it’s a sign that our exceptional special effects team has truly outdone themselves – mission accomplished!

From my perspective, at first glance, it appears that the Terrifier series might be employing some old-school marketing tactics reminiscent of William Castle’s films, using attention-grabbing gimmicks to create a buzz. However, upon closer inspection, the recent accounts from the UK seem to hold water. The screening of Terrifier 2 in 2022 proved to be an equally unsettling experience for viewers, with many people fainting, vomiting, and even leaving theaters due to its intense nature. One spectator even shared a photo on social media showing their friend receiving medical attention after they fainted during the movie.

Theaters Are Posting Warnings Ahead of Terrifier 3

As a passionate cinephile, I must admit it’s challenging to fathom how Leone and his team could surpass the brutality of the initial two films, but the chatter surrounding Terrifier 3 is already deafening, with many declaring it the finest installment yet in the series. John Flickinger from The Flick Pick has even gone as far as saying that this movie delivers on its promise of gruesome gore and chaotic havoc. To heighten the anticipation further, Leone himself has cautioned fans to brace themselves for what will undoubtedly be one of Art the Clown’s most extravagant executions.

In preparation for its release on October 11, theaters are putting up notices warning that the film contains intense violence and gory scenes. They advise people with weak constitutions to consult theater staff who have received first aid training if needed.

Since the time of “The Exorcist”, no other film has seemed to impact the public as greatly, which speaks volumes about what Leone has accomplished over the years. From Art’s modest start in the 2008 short film “The 9th Circle”, he has now created a movie with a $2 million budget that unites some of the horror genre’s most renowned figures, such as Clint Howard, Daniel Roebuck, Tom Savini, and Jason Patric.
