As a die-hard fan who has followed Alia Bhatt’s journey from her debut to her current role as a producer, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming release of “Jigra”. The 155-minute duration is just enough time for me to immerse myself in this captivating story, and the U/A certificate only adds to the anticipation.


In a matter of days, the hotly anticipated movie starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina titled Jigra is set to premiere. The trailer and some songs have already ignited great anticipation among viewers. Prior to its theatrical debut, it’s been disclosed that the film has been given a U/A rating by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and its running time will be approximately 155 minutes.

The running time for the film Jigra, as stated on the CBFC website, is 155 minutes, equivalent to 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Yesterday, a new tune titled “Tenu Sang Rakhna” was revealed from the music album. This heartfelt composition comes from Achint Thakkar, with the words penned by Varun Grover. Arijit Singh, Anumita Nadesan, and Achint Thakkar have contributed their beautiful voices to this song. The team behind “Jigra” has referred to “Tenu Sang Rakhna” as the emotional core of their film.

In this music video, the heartwarming relationship between a sibling pair, beautifully portrayed by Alia Bhatt as Satya and Vedang Raina as Ankur, takes center stage. The story unfolds as Alia travels to a foreign land to free her incarcerated brother.

Earlier, the makers introduced a motivational song titled Chal Kudiye, sung by Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. Simultaneously, Vedang Raina’s remake of Phoolon Ka Taaro was also unveiled, accompanying the film teaser.

Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions team up to bring you the movie titled Jigra. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra. Following her 2022 dark comedy Darlings, this is Alia’s second venture into home production with Jigra. Upon the announcement of the film, Alia expressed her feelings by saying, “Moving from my debut with a Dharma production to now producing a movie alongside them, in many aspects, it feels like completing a circle and returning to where I first began.

On October 11, 2024, Vasan Bala’s movie is scheduled to premiere on the big screen. This film will be simultaneously released in cinemas with Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala” video.
