Donald Glover announced that he won’t be holding the remaining performances of his Childish Gambino tour, originally scheduled for North America and the UK, following their rescheduling earlier this month.
The musician announced on X (previously known as Twitter), that because of health issues, he has decided to postpone the rest of his concert schedules in order to recover.
Following my performance in New Orleans, I had to rush to Houston’s hospital due to a health issue that surfaced. After an examination, it was determined that I couldn’t give a show that very night, and further tests revealed that I wouldn’t be able to complete the remaining US tour within the requested timeframe.
I’ve got some tough news, folks. I’ve got a surgery coming up, which means I’ll be taking some time off to heal. Facing my recovery is something I need to tackle head-on. Consequently, we’ve made the hard choice to scrap the rest of our North American tour and the U.K. and European dates.
Refunds will be given right away when purchasing the tickets, as Glover announced that the shows are currently postponed. However, it appears that he is committed to completing the tour eventually.

Last month, Glover pushed back the rest of his tour performances due to prioritizing his personal health following a concert in Houston. Originally scheduled to continue until October 3rd within the U.S., and with international dates beginning in November, the New World tour has now been rescheduled.
The tour was intended as a goodbye for Glover’s character, Childish Gambino, since earlier this year, he expressed his readiness to part ways with the persona.
He stated in July, “It was essentially the same as saying, ‘It’s complete,'” but he found it unsatisfying. He added that he no longer felt compelled to construct things in the same manner.
At that point, he shared that partly because of parenthood, he decided it was time to stop using the nickname.
Glover commented that he’s no longer 25 years old, feeling the need to move a boulder. Instead, he said, one should offer what they can, but there’s charm in every instant, not just what you create or seek.
He expressed, “Lifting my son onto my shoulders brings me immense happiness. This feeling is genuine. On their last day, no one reflects and says, ‘I’m grateful for having steered clear of awkwardness.’
