As a seasoned analyst with over two decades of experience in the tech and finance industries, I must say that the recent surge of memecoins inspired by Len Sassaman and his beloved cats is an intriguing development. Given my extensive background in identifying trends and patterns, it appears that the popularity of Sassaman among Polymarket bettors has indeed sparked a wave of speculation surrounding his potential identity as Satoshi Nakamoto.
As anticipation builds for the unveiling of the Bitcoin creator in an upcoming HBO documentary, meme-based cryptocurrencies influenced by Len Sassaman and his felines, Sasha and Odin, are popping up across the Solana, Ethereum, and Bitcoin blockchain networks.
Following his success in predicting who Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, might be in the Polymarket betting pool, Len Sassaman has garnered attention within crypto communities. Many believe that it is the late cryptographer who will ultimately be revealed as the individual behind the mask, generating excitement for the HBO Documentary titled “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Enigma”.
As a crypto investor, I’m eagerly awaiting the upcoming documentary premiering on October 8, which claims to finally unmask the individual behind the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
As the big reveal approached, numerous meme-based cryptocurrencies were developed as a tribute to Len Sassaman and his beloved cats. Coins such as LEN, SASHA, and Odin are among those that have emerged in the past week, largely due to Sassaman’s influence within Polymarket betting communities.

In simple terms, the digital token representing the Solana memecoin modeled after Sassaman’s orange cat named Sasha, called SASHA, has surged by more than 70% in the past day, as indicated by data from CoinMarketCap. Since its debut, SASHA has accumulated a market capitalization of approximately $1.2 million.
Currently, a meme coin named after Sassaman’s other cat, Odin, is witnessing an increase of over 15% within the past day on GeckoTerminal. Despite not being as well-known as SASHA, Odin has managed to build a market capitalization of $236,000 in just two days since its launch. Notably, the Odin meme coin operates on the Solana network.
In addition to cryptographic cats, some digital currencies referred to as memecoins were established in honor of Len Sassaman, using the symbol LEN. Within the past week, these LEN tokens have been generated on both Solana and Ethereum by traders. They quickly amassed a market value of several million dollars before experiencing a decrease in value.
Four months past, another LEN token was released, touted as the first on the Solana platform. Last week, it experienced a surge in value, and currently, its market capitalization stands at more than $1.6 million, as of Monday.
As the HBO Documentary’s premiere draws near, Sassaman’s chances of being identified as Satoshi Nakamoto stand at about 40%, according to the Polymarket market titled “Who will HBO doc identify as Satoshi?”. This figure is keenly watched by bettors, many of whom think that Satoshi might be a collective or someone not on the current list, with odds of approximately 38%.
In a nutshell, Adam Back, who serves as CEO at Blockshare, stands just behind the frontrunner with approximately 7% probability. Notably, he is set to feature in an upcoming HBO documentary, as hinted by the film’s trailer.
