As a long-time fan who has witnessed the dynamic duo of Will Smith and Michael Bay create chaos and comedy in the Bad Boys series, I can hardly contain my excitement about their reunion for Fast and Loose! The thought of seeing Smith’s charisma as a crime boss with amnesia is already intriguing, but when you add Bay’s mastery of action sequences to the mix, it’s bound to be an explosive ride.
Excitingly, it looks like I’ll be getting the chance to work with the legendary Will Smith on the Netflix action flick “Fast and Loose,” as per The Hollywood Reporter’s confirmation!
Swiftly Unraveled Lives” explores the story of a mafia chief who, following an assault, experiences memory loss, eventually discovering that he had been secretly working for the CIA.
Ever since Smith’s well-known slap at Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars, I’ve been eagerly awaiting updates about this movie. Prior to that incident, it was already in development. As reported by THR, David Leitch parted ways with the project a week before the Oscars telecast to focus on The Fall Guy instead.
Previously, Bay had been at the helm of Smith in the 1995 action-comedy “Bad Boys” and its 2003 follow-up. More recently, Smith and Martin Lawrence reprised their roles from the series in the latest sequel, “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” which Sony premiered in cinemas in June. This movie contributed to a resurgence of Smith’s popularity as a sought-after movie star after the Oscars controversy.
Deadline was first to report on Bay’s involvement.
More to come.
