As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experiences under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as Resident Evil 2 REmake graces the iOS platform. Back in the day, I remember playing the original on my trusty PlayStation One and being absolutely terrified by the relentless hordes of zombies and the eerie atmosphere that permeated every corner of Raccoon City.
Following the launch of Resident Evil 8 on iOS, many discussions ensued about its relatively light impact on players. But for those fortunate enough to obtain it and craving more, here’s some good news: Capcom isn’t abandoning you as the Resident Evil 2 REmake is now up for pre-order!
In the fated urban landscape of Raccoon City, you assume the roles of either Leon S. Kennedy, a novice cop, or Claire Redfield, a young biker. Your mission is to evade the city while simultaneously exposing a hazardous secret that could potentially infect the entire nation. The game is expected to be launched towards the end of December 2024.
In addition to Assassin’s Creed Mirage, both Resident Evil 7 and 8 have been adapted for iOS devices, leveraging Apple’s latest technology. Although their sales weren’t exceptional, they represent a remarkable technological feat. For those yet to experience it, the iOS version of Resident Evil 2 promises an even more intense dose of survival horror right at your fingertips.
Zombies, lickers and tyrants, oh my
I unquestionably advocated for Resident Evil on iOS, recognizing that future Apple devices might run it even more smoothly than today’s phones. Although this won’t directly benefit me as an Android user, I support anything that increases interest in the often humorous yet consistently terrifying Resident Evil series.
