As a long-time fan of MF Doom, I can hardly contain my excitement over the 20th anniversary reissue of his masterpiece, “Mm..Food”. This album has always been more than just an LP to me; it’s a journey through life’s complexities, cleverly disguised as a culinary adventure. The addition of remixes by musical legends like Madlib, Jake One, and Ant makes this reissue even more irresistible.
To mark its 20th anniversary, MF Doom’s 2004 album “Mm..Food” has been reissued. This was his fifth studio album, where he creatively employed food as a symbol to depict real-world circumstances.
On November 15, the revamped album will be distributed through Rhymesayers Entertainment. The album includes remixes of tracks done by Madlib, Jake One, and Ant from the hip-hop group Atmosphere.
The revamped LP sports fresh cover artwork by Sam Rodriguez, depicting the late rapper in a diner booth. It’ll be marketed as a two-disc vinyl collection, with only 1,500 copies being manufactured. A QR code on the records leads to conversations with MF Doom himself.
Prior to the album’s debut, you can now stream Madlib’s remix of “One Beer”. The entire re-released album, titled “Mm..Food“, will be available on November 15.
