Charlotte McKinney Slays In First Look At Exotic Dancer Slasher, But This Black Phone Tie-In Is What Has Me Hyped

As a die-hard horror enthusiast who grew up scouring the darkest corners of video stores for the most obscure 80s slashers, I can confidently say that the upcoming film Stiletto has me absolutely thrilled! The talented Samuel Gonzalez Jr., who brought us the underrated gem The Retaliators, is back with this new project that harks back to classic ’80s movie slashers.

Get ready, horror enthusiasts! Gear up for a unique sneak peek into an upcoming horror flick titled “Stiletto.” The director of the critically acclaimed “The Retaliators,” Samuel Gonzalez Jr., is back with another chilling creation. This film harks back to the classic ’80s slasher movies. Starring model-turned-actress Charlotte McKinney, she portrays an exotic dancer in the first images released, and she’s absolutely terrifyingly convincing. What has me thrilled is the connection to “The Black Phone.” The same team responsible for creating the iconic Grabber mask is designing this film’s villain’s mask, which, on its own, is enough to make horror fans like myself genuinely excited.

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting, we now have a chilling first look at Charlotte McKinney, who looks stunning but terrified at something—or someone—just offscreen. Could it be Stiletto’s big bad, The Stiletto Killer? The talented SFX team at Collosum Studios, led by Jason Baker, gave us our first glimpse of the killer earlier this year with a teaser posted on Baker’s Instagram.

In the post, Baker expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in the project, captioning the stunning image of the rather dapper killer with a heartfelt thank-you to the team. He wrote:

Let’s first check out the mask we designed for the upcoming film, Stiletto, at Callosum Studios. A big thank you to @bdisgusting for the article and a heartfelt appreciation goes to @samuelgonzalezjr, @gigigustin, and @matthewhershfilms for this fantastic opportunity!

2025’s film “Stiletto” is poised for release, offering a retro feel with an edgy cityscape backdrop and a spine-tingling enigma at its core. Reports suggest that the narrative revolves around Lyric, portrayed by Gigi Gustin (known from “Night of the Missing“), who embarks on a quest for vengeance for her sister, an exotic dancer who was brutally murdered a year prior. On the anniversary of her sister’s demise, Lyric embarks on a hunt to unmask The Stiletto Killer, a notorious serial killer who targets and terrorizes his preferred dancers, also infamously known as Handy Handy, who remains active and deadly.

With Gigi Gustin and Charlotte McKinney (from Fantasy Island), the movie features an impressive and diverse ensemble, including Colleen Camp (known for American Hustle), Swerve “Stephon” Strickland (Night of the Missing), Pancho Moler (3 from Hell), Meghan Carrasquillo (Hider in My House), and Russell Todd, who played a role in Friday the 13th Part 2. This blend of new talents and veteran horror film actors guarantees a thrilling ride of emotions and intense horror.

Speaking of the fascinating element that grabbed my attention – the mask in Stiletto, it was expertly designed by Jason Baker, who collaborated with horror maestro Tom Savini. In a statement, Baker shared his enthusiasm about crafting this dreadful yet alluring appearance, stating he took cues directly from the script, which he refers to as a “grotesquely beautiful blend of beauty and violence.” He further mentioned, “Our aim was to create something both elegant and terrifying,” an approach that suggests The Stiletto Killer’s mask will be both spine-chilling and iconic. In my opinion, the team at Collsum has successfully achieved their objective.

For Gonzalez Jr., this venture stems from his deep-seated passion for ’80s horror, a fondness he openly expressed to Bloody Disgusting earlier in the year.

As a youngster, I’d often explore the hidden corners of video rental stores in search of the most bizarre 80s horror movies. My fascination lay with the ‘strange and unusual’, particularly the pioneering slasher films from that era. Stiletto harks back to those classic titles we cherish, while simultaneously taking it to the edge of cinematic extremes. With its gripping kill scenes and a mix of rising stars and veterans in the cast, it’s a heartfelt tribute to the genre we adore. We can hardly wait to introduce the world to The Stiletto Killer!

As a die-hard gamer, I’m absolutely thrilled about the upcoming horror game, Stiletto. With Baker’s knack for creating iconic villains like The Grabber and Gonzalez Jr.’s innovative mind guiding the project, this game promises to be a one-of-a-kind horror experience that seamlessly blends sophistication with bone-chilling terror. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it!

And hey, if Stiletto disappoints, we’ve got The Black Phone 2 to anticipate instead! In the meantime, horror enthusiasts like me can re-watch one of Blumhouse’s finest films, The Black Phone, which is accessible at any movie rental service. Enjoy!
