As a seasoned detective of the mobile gaming world, I must say that Unforeseen Incidents has left quite an impression on me. Having traversed through countless pixelated landscapes and solved mysteries that would make even Sherlock Holmes green with envy, this point-and-click adventure game has managed to stand out from the crowd.
Unforeseen Incidents is a captivating point-and-click adventure that unfolds as you delve into a conspiracy in a town called Yelltown. This game left Iwan thoroughly impressed during his recent review, which prompted us to gather more perspectives. Consequently, we passed the game along to our App Army, a community renowned for their passion for this particular genre.

This is an exceptional point-and-click game centered around a virus outbreak in a small town, where the protagonist gets drawn into a bizarre enigma. What truly stands out is the art design, sleek and stylish, with well-executed character animations and dialogues that are consistently funny, reminiscent of classic adventure games we’ve loved for decades. It’s a commendable effort.

From a technical standpoint, there’s no room for criticism: the artwork showcases a unique character, similar to skilled comic hand-drawings, the music creates an engaging atmosphere, and the dialogue is thoughtfully written. I also spotted some errors in the French subtitles, but their presence is still appreciated.
It is not always easy to make items interact with each other. But the thing I regret the most is that despite the rather interesting main plot the character sometimes goes back and forth to solve very banal problems that do not serve the narrative and make the environment sound false. For example, while it seems quite urgent to save people from a serious threat, does it really make sense that the character, while in the middle of a natural park, goes back to the top of a mountain to look for some wood to make a fire? In his place, I think I would have avoided this effort.
In summary, while I would have enjoyed a more engaging narrative and found some puzzles repetitive and common within the point-and-click genre, the game’s visual appeal is truly top-notch.

Let’s start with the basics. I must say, the opening menu for the game captivates me instantly. It provides a brief respite where you can savor the scenery, listen to the rain, and appreciate the music. This initial experience gives a strong hint that the game will be enjoyable. Moreover, the comic-book style graphics are exceptional, boasting impressive artwork. The voice acting is commendable as well. At first glance, it appears as though we’re in a post-apocalyptic era, but upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that this setting is relatively contemporary.
In a nutshell, you’re finding yourself in a thrilling scenario where a highly contagious and perilous virus is spreading among the populace. As an unassuming handyman, it falls upon us to unravel the enigma behind its origin and potentially neutralize it. The game mechanics echo those typically seen in point-and-click adventures (a big shoutout to the versatile multi-tool, which transforms and offers a variety of tools for various tasks). There seems to be a nod or two towards Lucas Arts classics, adding an enjoyable layer of nostalgia. Essentially, it’s a classic point-and-click adventure game with intriguing puzzles to tackle and plenty of conversation along the way.
Only one complaint really, I keep going to the top bar to make it appear and click on the magnifying glass so I can see where all the hotspots are. That magnifying glass could be visible all the time, or a two-finger touch to make the hotspots visible perhaps. I’m currently halfway through the game, and it’s partially my fault, as I tend to explore every line of conversation there is to be had. If you’re into point-and-click adventures, this one should be on your list.

This is a delightful interactive story, centered around a virus outbreak and a charming protagonist determined to turn things around. The graphics are eye-catching, as are the characters. Some tasks felt unrealistic for moving the plot forward, which others have also pointed out. I stumbled upon the hot spot revealer by chance, but this could have been improved more seamlessly – although it’s a minor issue. The developers clearly have a knack for humor, and that adds to the overall enjoyable gaming experience, particularly for fans of the genre. It may not introduce much that is novel, but it excels in its execution and playful approach. I recommend giving it a try.

At a quick glance, this game seemed promising with its vintage hand-drawn graphics, engaging point-and-click mechanics that I enjoy, and a captivating narrative. However, upon playing it, I discovered that it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
The game often felt filled with excessive chatter and pointless back-and-forth that took away from the sense of urgency in finding a remedy for a rapidly spreading virus. At times, the characters’ dialogue seemed peculiar and didn’t significantly improve my gaming experience. However, it’s not a terrible game; with some adjustments, it could be greatly improved.
