The sequel became a massive hit at the box office. Now, filmmaker Anil Sharma is working on his next project and will officially announce it on Dussehra, which falls on October 12.
According to a trusted insider, it has been announced that director Anil Sharma will introduce his upcoming major production on the festive day of Dussehra, following the triumphant release of Gadar 2.
On a Friday, Anil Sharma shared a sneak peek of his forthcoming venture on Instagram. In the video, he is seen conducting a prayer ritual at home, and a fire offering (havan kund) is visible as well.
The director of Gadar 2 has mentioned that he’ll disclose details about his upcoming venture at 11:00 am on the following day.

In the upcoming film “Gadar 2: The Story Continues,” slated for release in 2023, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel take on the main roles reprising their characters Tara Singh and Sakeena Ali from the original. Joining them are Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur. In this new iteration, Utkarsh portrays Charanjeet Singh, also known as Jeete, who is the on-screen son of Tara Singh and Sakeena Ali. Simrat Kaur’s character, Muskaan, is introduced as Jeete’s romantic interest in the film.
Gadar, the 2001 film starred late veteran actor Amrish Puri as the main antagonist.
In terms of his professional work, Anil Sharma is not only known for the Gadar series but has also directed films such as Suhaag, Hukumat, Farishtay, Tahalka, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Singh Saab The Great, Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo, Apne, Veer, and several others.
