The official synopsis of the show describes it as follows: “The series focuses on new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Chandler), who are both intergalactic law enforcement officers pulled into a mysterious murder investigation in the American heartland.” HBO is responsible for producing the eight-episode Lanterns, in collaboration with Warner Bros Television and DC Studios.
Previously working alongside Affleck in the 2012 film “Argo”, Chandler is now joining forces with him again on the upcoming movie titled “RIP“. Additionally, he has acted alongside Casey Affleck (Affleck’s brother) in the 2016 film “Manchester by the Sea“, where Damon served as producer. Chandler boasts an impressive resume that includes roles in movies such as “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” and “Godzilla vs. Kong“, as well as “Zero Dark Thirty“, “The Wolf of Wall Street“, and the Neil Armstrong biopic “First Man“. Taylor has been commended for her acting skills in the critically lauded drama “A Thousand and One,” which debuted at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. Calle gained recognition for her breakout performance as Supergirl in “The Flash.” Meanwhile, Moreno (from “Maria Full of Grace”) is currently featured in MGM+’s supernatural drama series “From” and will soon appear in the spinoff of “John Wick,” titled “Ballerina.” Carbonell is a member of the award-winning cast of the Apple TV drama series “The Morning Show.
Affleck, Damon, Luciana Damon, and Dani Bernfeld are working together to create the movie titled “RIP” under Artists Equity. Michael Joe and Kevin Halloran are overseeing the project as executive producers. According to Variety, Artists Equity has other upcoming projects such as “Air“, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told“, “Small Things Like These” starring Cillian Murphy, and also a sequel to the film “The Accountant“.
