Rajkummar Rao says he doesn’t have as much money people assume him to have; reveals ‘Ghar liya hua hai uski EMI hai achhi khasi…’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity insights, I must commend Rajkummar Rao for his humility and down-to-earth demeanor. In an industry where flashy cars and luxurious homes often define success, it’s refreshing to see an actor like him maintain perspective. His candid admission about his financial status serves as a reminder that appearances can be deceiving, and wealth is not the ultimate measure of happiness or achievement.

Rajkummar Rao is widely recognized as one of today’s most gifted and adaptable actors. His career has been thriving with numerous movie releases this year, but it’s worth noting that the actress from Stree 2 stated he doesn’t possess as much wealth as some people might assume.

In an open discussion on Unfiltered with Samdish, Rajkummar Rao was questioned about his contentment in life. To this, the performer acknowledged feeling content, but still has that driving ambition. The presenter then commented that when a specific financial figure is reached, Rajkummar swiftly dismissed such an assumption regarding him and Stree 2.

He said, “Yaar, honestly itna paisa hai nahi jitna logon ko lagta hoga ki ye toh bhai Rs.100 crore. Itna nahi hai. Bhai, EMI chal rahi hai. Matlab ghar liya hua hai, uski EMI hai achhi khasi. Toh matlab aisa bhi nahi hai ki nahi hai. Par aise wala bhi nahi ki aaj mann kia ki showroom mein ja ke, ‘Kitne ki hai wo?’ ‘Sir, Rs. 6 crore ki.’ ‘De de’ (I don’t have that much money. People would assume I have Rs.100 crore. I don’t have that much. I’ve been paying a hefty EMI for a house I bought. It’s not like if I feel, I can visit a showroom and purchase a car worth ₹6 crore).”

In response to being queried if I could afford a car worth 50 lakhs, I confessed that I could manage it, but there would be a necessary discussion regarding the matter. I also mentioned that while I might feel a bit of stress, I could comfortably buy a car costing 20 lakhs at present.

Rajkummar similarly opined that receiving a large amount of money suddenly could potentially distort an actor’s mental state.

Professionally, Rao is thrilled with the theater release of his latest family-comedy movie titled “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video,” which co-stars Triptii Dimri. This production, led by Raaj Shaandilyaa, also includes prominent actors such as Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Mast Ali, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Archana Patel, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar in significant roles. At present, the film is screening in cinemas nationwide.
