Back in a chat with Simi Garewal, during an earlier interview, the enchanting Madhuri Dixon – star of Devdas – shared tales about her beloved husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, who, astonishingly, was oblivious to my Bollywood escapades and scarcely knew any B-town celebrities. She revealed, “I believe the only star he recognized at our wedding reception was none other than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He had caught a glimpse of him in school while watching Amar Akbar Anthony.” The actress added that it was when Nene laid eyes on Big B, he exclaimed, “I think I’ve seen that face before.” It was then she clarified that he had watched the iconic movie.
In an earlier conversation, she mentioned that since her husband was unaware of her fame in India and her extensive film career, she and her mother-in-law showed him one of her songs. However, he refused to watch it and suggested doing something else instead. When the host asked what drew her to him, Dixit replied that they shared some similarities and differences at the same time.
In an interview, The Fame Game personality explained that actors often bring their past experiences with them. However, he didn’t have any preconceived ideas about Madhuri, something he believes wouldn’t be possible in India due to her high profile. Madhuri Dixit and Shriram Nene, a doctor from Los Angeles, got married at the residence of her elder brother in Southern California. After getting married, Madhuri left her acting career behind and moved abroad for almost a decade. They have two sons named Arin and Ryan.
