As a follower who has witnessed the colorful tapestry of Indian politics, I find myself deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Baba Siddique. The video shared by his son, Zeeshan, brings a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes. It’s a poignant reminder of the love between a father and son that transcends time, a bond that will forever remain etched in our hearts.
On the evening of Dussehra, events took an unexpected tragic turn when Baba Siddique, a former minister and NCP leader from Maharashtra, was fatally shot during the festival celebrations in Bandra, Mumbai on October 12th. Three unknown assailants opened fire on him, hitting his chest and stomach. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital in the city, Baba Siddique sadly passed away due to his injuries. In a touching tribute, his son Zeeshan shared a heartwarming childhood video of them together, expressing his deep longing for his late father. This moving clip stirred emotions among online viewers.
On October 17th, Zeeshan Siddique posted an old family video on Instagram that includes him and his late father, Baba Siddique. The video appears to have been taken during a celebration, where they are seen spending quality time together.
In the video, we see the late statesman affectionately kissing him on the cheek while cradling his young child. Zeeshan’s pet parrot perches on his shoulder during this touching family moment.
“My papa,” Zeeshan wrote along with a series of red heart and kissing emojis.

The comment reads, “Your honor is still alive, it’s Zeeshan.” This is a paraphrase of the original statement, “We all are with you bhai no one can fill the space of sir,” and “Baba bhai ki shaan zinda hai woh Zeeshan” which translates to, “Your brother’s honor is alive, it’s Zeeshan.” The paraphrase conveys a similar sentiment while using simpler language.
User on Instagram encourages: “Hang tough buddy!” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Last week, Baba Siddique, well-known for hosting Iftar parties during Eid, suffered an attack in his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office located in Bandra. When he was rushed to the hospital, his condition was critical. Notable figures like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, and Raj Kundra paid a visit to the hospital following the news of his attack.
Shortly following the tragic news of his passing, I myself confirmed that Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, disclosed the apprehension of two suspects linked to Uttar Pradesh and Haryana by the local authorities. Remarkably, a third assailant remains at large in our ongoing investigation.
